A New Niche Marketing Strategy For November – October’s Goals Achieved Too

October’s gone.. and so are the results :)

Overall.. I would say that everything went beyond my expectations. traffic, sales, etc.
As you all know based on my previous post, I’m running 12 niche sites.

I wanted to take them all to a certain level before deciding which ones I would dedicate my time to.

Now’s the time…

Out of all the sites I decided to focus on, 2 are physical targeted products and 2 are digital targeted products.

[It's the Autumn season.. Not my favorite one :) But one always nice to look at.It also reminds me that I have to work hard so I can work from home before Winter!]

Physical Products

One of my physical products is my biggest earner so far… look at the conversion ;) sweet huh?

The other one brings trickle of traffic, but has huge potential in both traffic and sales…

Digital Products

Both of these sites haven’t done nothing specific so far, but the reason why I’m pushing digital sites too, is because it is far more easier to collect leads with information products than physical products.

Why collect leads? Simple…

The people that goes on your site and then goes on buying through the merchant are gone FOREVER if you don’t capture their email.  You then lose the ability to sell them again and again.

So building a list is what will really give you a leverage, an asset and a security even if Google’s go wild or whatever else.

One thing with collecting leads, 95% of marketers screw up the whole process (and I’m being generous) . Just look at my conversion rate in the picture above.. It’s pretty high and it will probably go down as I get more traffic..yet It’s built around targeted traffic. That’s why the conversion is high… and I could get it as high if not more with email marketing..

But well.. this post is not why you should have a list :) but why I’m pushing digital products..so I can build myself a list.

October’s results.

For October I had one and only one goal.. Get 20 visits a day average over a 30 day period.

I barely got by :D by averaging 20.9 Unique visitors for the whole month of October and the number of visitors per site looks like this…

Site 1 – 75 Absolute unique visitors
Site 2 – 11 Absolute Unique Visitors
Site 3 – 14 Absolute Unique Visitors
Site 4 – 271 Absolute Unique Visitors
Site 5 – 98 Absolute Unique Visitors
Site 6 – 68 Absolute Unique Visitors
Site 7 – 2 Absolute Unique Visitors
Site 8 – 4 Absolute Unique Visitors
Site 9 – 24 Absolute Unique Visitors
Site 10 – 6 Absolute Unique Visitors
Site 11 – 3 Absolute Unique Visitors
Site 12 – 55 Absolute Unique Visitor

It also brought me sales of…

Adsense: $1.44
Amazon: $13.16
Shareasale.com: $4.80

Not bad when you consider I wasn’t looking for commissions. ( meaning I only have done a primary optimizations for my sites)

All in all, I’ve been pretty happy with how the month of October went..except for the last week, I lost a bit of focus and wasn’t productive as I would have wanted, but that’s okay because this month I’ve made some significant changes.

November’s Goal.

In terms of traffic, my next goal is to reach the average of 50 visits a day globally from all my sites, that’s it! Nothing else.

I’m not looking at sales yet. (I will once I get around 100 visits a day)

However there’s a little thing to this month’s objective.. I’ll will be focusing on 4 sites only. Maybe 10% on the others… but really 90% if not more of my time will go to those 4 sites.

Which will have the effect of giving it more juice… but I’ve also invested in some tools that will definitely TRIPLE my production.

I have seen others use it, I have seen a place use it in a specific way which is exactly how I want to use it. Before I do talk about it, I sure want to be able to bring the results first, so I’ll keep those tools for the next update.

So to attain those 50 visits a day.. here’s my plan

Site 1 gets 10 visits a day.. I want to push it to 20 a day.
Site 2 gets traffic but not consistently.. I want to push it to 10 a day.
Site 3 gets traffic but not consistently.. I want to push it to 10 a day.
Site 4 gets traffic but not consistently.. I want to push it to 10 a day.

Goal 1 Achieved – Market Samurai News & Bonus Surprise

Seems like I’ve got PLENTY of stuff to tell you guys!

But there is so much going on that I honestly can’t barely keep up.. :)
So what’s been popping on my side?..

For starters, there’s a membership I have been a member of for quite some time now that has been TREMENDOUSLY helping me getting this whole thing off the ground. I’m not ready to talk about it yet, as I’m too busy getting my stuff up and ..gunnin’. however if you really want to know what membership I’m talking about, you can check my post “here“ and look for the comment in that post. You’ll see who is this genius I’m talking about which runs the membership.

I’ll now add a picture in every post and add some snippets of thoughts, It will make my post less boring and more fun to read ;)

[... So I always been a fan of southern France or Northern Spain, I was looking over at Google where I'd like to live.. to give you an idea of such a place... Wid's Future Villa]

Now onto the cool stuff!

I had stated in that membership, that I wanted to reach around 10 visitors per day for a period of 30 days. Well I can definitely say that this goal has been accomplished now, as I’m now averaging 12,1 visits a day straight from the search engines. I do get way more though If I include all other traffic forms such as referrals and direct traffic as a result of my linkbuilding.

So I’m off to my next goal.. reach an average of 20 visits per days through my sites. I’m aiming for that goal for the end of this month, I do not know If I’ll average that.. but I’m confident by month end, I’ll be clocking 20 visits a day.

How I am planning to get there?

Well very simple… by targeting low competition keywords that will be easier to rank for in Google. However If you use Market Samurai, there’s a cool way to make it absolutely EASY to dominate the ranking for the keywords you’re targeting… ;) Trust me it’s very easy to implement but makes it for a very powerful stuff.

In a nutshell… here’s what it is. I pick a bunch of keywords I’m planning to rank for, then look for the competition, then start writing post based on those keywords. Now here’s where I do gain a massive advantage over other marketers.

I take all my keywords I analyzed through Market Samurai and send them through “another round” of rank data…

And the results I get, makes the decision process of choosing which keywords to go after even easier and save me more time in the process as I know I’ll rank faster for the keywords I chose in the beginning.

That’s what it is in a nutshell… and I do plan to share it all in a week or two in my newsletter, you’ll love it if you’re not already using it! (I’ve already got it written down, as my next thing to talk about) ;)

So that’s why I’m confident that I’ll reach 20 visitors a day soon :)

Other cool news…

This is really seriously not a focus of mine for now… well at least not until I hit a a milestone of 100 visits a day from a single site. Once I’m there, I’ll focus on sales… However my sites are already built in a way to earn money from adsense and affiliate commissions.

So I can gladly say that I earned my first commissions from Amazon and first clicks from Adsense for those 12 niche blogging sites.

Totals..

$4.47 Amazon (4 sales)
$1.23 Adsense
$ 0 from Clickbank and such

How’s everything is shaping up??

The initial goal was to put up 10 sites and get to a certain level where I could gauge which sites to keep building on…

1st… I ended up with 12 sites.
2nd… I’m getting traffic from at least 5 sites from BARELY no linkbuilding process. I’m blown away as they are all interesting markets and I can do SO MUCH more.
3rd… I definitely have to pick my sites wisely now.. Just can’t put my time evenly on 5 sites…I’m having a good problem ;)

4th… One of those sites.. could literally change my life upside down very soon… I’m torn between giving it ALL my time or splitting it up with the sites I’ll choose to focus on..

Well lot’s of thing can change.. but in the meantime. I’m keeping my next goal clear! ….

20 Clicks a day globally from those 12 sites.

Time For Some Talk..Micro Niche Blogging Status.. September Earnings.. Etc.

Okay I’ve been putting this off for way too long now hehe :) It’s time for me to update my blog.

So far things have been going very well for me, and it’s been very exciting.

Money wise?? I’ll tell you right now lol I’ve made a big fat $0. Well to be honest I’ve made perhaps $0.12 with Adsense, but is it worth mentionning?

So why am I saying things have been going well?

Let me explain myself..

For the past two years, I was what you would consider a 99% percent PPC (Pay per click) guy.
I was doing well, but never well enough to take it to another level. meaning I would come off after all expenses with $100 profits or less evry month.

Now it’s not that I never wanted to dive into SEO, but I wanted to have a winning campaign before investing my time into SEO.

Of course using pay-per-click program meant me paying money for traffic.. Now it’s something I no longer have the luxury to afford :) So I had no choice but to learn about driving traffic organically.

It took me a while to get the hang of things, but I do now :)

So when I started all this in september..my only expectations was to be able to drive organic traffic to any given sites..Heck I would have been happy to make money in the process, but it wasn’t my primary objective.

Free Traffic was and still is my primary objective… for now.

So now that the month is over, I can sit and look back on what’s been happening on my side.

When I started this project in early september, I decided that I would focus on 10 niche sites… I ended up going with 12 ;)

Some of them are aiming physical products others are aiming digital products.

Now my initial task was to put up all 12 sites online and take them through an inital round of linkbuilding juice and see what would perform well.. if any would.

So far, the results looks promising

Traffic from (Sept 1st – Septh 30th) Taken from Google Analytics

Site 1 – 27 Absolute unique visitors
Site 2 – 12 Absolute Unique Visitors
Site 3 – 2 Absolute Unique Visitors
Site 4 – 126 Absolute Unique Visitors
Site 5 – 12 Absolute Unique Visitors
Site 6 – 23 Absolute Unique Visitors
Site 7 – 5 Absolute Unique Visitors
Site 8 – 5 Absolute Unique Visitors
Site 9 – 14 Absolute Unique Visitors
Site 10 – 12 Absolute Unique Visitors
Site 11 – 8 Absolute Unique Visitors
Site 12 – Site is not 100% set up yet

Quick notes…

Site 4 – is definitely my biggest winner in terms of traffic, It brings me an average of 10 Clicks as of lately it hasn’t converted yet..will have to see.

Site 9 – I took all those numbers from Google analytics and I’m actually surprised by the result, especially that the site has been up for about a week maybe.

Now while I’m happy with the results, I have to take into consideration, that some of the visitors are direct effort of my linkbuilding process, not traffic coming from the search engines.. so next month I’ll be able to better assess how each one performs.

Another thing all those sites have received 50% of the initial link building process, boomarking, etc. I still have to send articles for all my sites up.. so that will be more link building to those sites. :D

Monetization

While I’m pursuing The niche models.. all these sites are built with the intention of becoming authority sites in the long term. If they don’t get to that point, it’s because they do not any ROI.. and I can see one of them already being a dud.. even though it’s sitting at position 4 in google. (site – 10)

While I do reported that I made $0.12 with Adsense. The monetization model I use, doesn’t put any emphasis on Adsense. I use it just to be there and collect money on the go, but my monetization targets specific products or category of products, so I’m pursuing the affiliate model where I get a commission when I make a sale.

So I expect this section of my earnigns to be low for a while.. but once it will take off..I’m sure it will ;)

Objective for October!

Again I’d love to keep it simple..

I’m working my behind off lol but my goal for Ocotber would be to get a global (all 10 Sites) average of 30 clicks a day from the Search engines.

So that’s about it for now, I have been pretty busy.. getting this all together. But as I free more time, I should be able to post way more often :) )

Next post lined up..

An About Page.. (this one is long due)
My Earning page.. (You already know hehe, but I have to put this up too)
Couple Of articles..(Ive got to bring traffic to this blog too right?) ;)

P.S. For those subscribed to my newsletter, I really appreciate it. I’m thinking of something really cool as a way of saying thank you.. I’ll let you know soon!

11 Micro Niche Blogging Site Ready – Maybe Two More To Go..

My 11 sites Market Samurai Results

(click on the picture for a larger size)

SEO has never been one my strongest point. However this is all about to change as I have a better understanding of what it takes to rank well in google. The screenshot above is taken from Market Samurai,

which shows my 11 sites and their primary keywords.  All of them have been registered around sept 1 – to sept 6, except for the three last ones which I registered 3 days ago.

Since I’ve started, one of my niche site is doing pretty well and is ranking second in Google SE.  This keyword brings me around 7 to 11 clicks a day and has yet to generate a sale/click. It’s of course way too early to tell how the site will do, but it’s definitely a market which has money in it.

I can’t wait to post more about it, but I’ve got to wait until I’m done getting all my sites through an initial linkbuilding juice, which simply consist of the usual bookmarking, article marketing, etc.

I’ve got a pretty good deal already done, and while I’m at 11 sites, I may have in reality 13 sites to work with.. one is already registered and the other one will depends on how tough it will be to enter the market within a certain time frame.

So that’s my goal.. ;) Take those sites to a minimum of 2k a month.. by any means :D (makes me think I’ve got to post my about  & earning pages)

PS. There are a bunch of websites I’ve ran across  lately which are pretty interesting to follow. They all do micro niche blogging too with different monetization model, but the idea behind is all the same. They’re interesting, because they blog about their journey to financial success. I’m not going lie , I’ve bitten a bit of their style, as I also will post my earnings to keep some accountability and keep track of how I’m doing.

Later!

Ohhh one last thing, It’s your call on that one, but if you want to know more about my success and failures, I encourage you to subscribe to my newsletter :D

I’ve Got My Strategy Up And Ready – Micro Niche Blogging!

Quick Quick…I know it’s been a long time (two months) that I haven’t posted to my blog, but there is a reason for that :)

I’ve been studying in the background and planning my moves on where to go next and I wanted to be sure I’d take the smartest path towards being financially free.

Now  I’m pretty sure I’ve got it.

That’s why I’m making few changes to what I initially planned for Affiliate Marketing For Profits.

When I started this blog back in July, I didn’t really know, what my blog was going to be about… beside being about Affiliate marketing.

But after much thinking & planning, I decided to “start” with micro niche blogging.

Yup, it’s still going to be about making money with affiliate marketing, but it will focus on building micro niche blogs.

Now of course there is a “bigger” plan behind all this… but for now MY FOCUS (and yours too if you’re starting with Internet Marketing / Affiliate Marketing) will be to put efforts into micro niches.

Why Micro Niches?

Very simple..

If you’re starting from scratch like I do, then you wan’t to go for niches where there’s barely any competition!

I’m talking about the type of niches you could be ranking on Google’s first page within the next day or so with the right resources.

So I’ll post a more updated …err post  this week-end about my plan, goals, earning objectives, etc. but to give a quick heads up about where I’m at now.

Well for the past two weeks, I managed to get 9 sites registered. Out of those 9, I’ve got 5 sites up, I’ve bookmarked some and RSSed some,

I have yet to completely boost the juice on all of them, but by the end of september, I’d love want to completely have done the initial juice boosting of all my 10 sites.

Then I’ll be ready to assess how they perform, and take a decision based on that.

Okay…

There’s so much I want to say.. earnings, goals, etc. but it’s late at night and have to get to bed for work tomorrow.

I’ll do that very very soon… Promise :D

Improve Website Traffic – Introduction

There’s no denying…I’ve been whack at bringing traffic to my site. In two words…

I SUCK.

Does it mean I can’t bring traffic to my site? Of course not :) but I could say I’m one of those lazy marketers…who got used to pay for traffic.

But see, since I’ve been banned from google, I’ve had no choice but to focus on other methods…

and until recently I sucked!

Bringing traffic to your site gets easier, as you gain more momentum / traffic etc.

But how do you get the ball rolling??

Especially when you have nothing to your name, no list to go by, no JV partners, no money to pay for traffic and no authority sites which you can use to pass on some PR…

That’s exactly where I am right now..

and the objective will be to bring this blog at around 10 visits per day.

In the next few days, I’ll be writing down the process I used in a form of tutorial to show how I’m going to get those 10 peeps a day ;)

In the meantime if you want exclusive tips and news on Affiliate marketing, I recommend you subscribe to my newsletter!

Enjoy!

Why I Failed As An Affiliate Marketer…And Why You Could Too!

It actually took me a long time to figure out why I wasn’t succeeding online the way I wanted it to be…

Everything started when I joined a membership program back in January 2008. I didn’t know much about affiliate marketing then, so I took the plunge and did all that was asked from us.

After doing all the “work” required, it took me 10 days to receive an email in my inbox, letting me know I had just made a commission. Can’t tell you how HAPPY I was, It was a testament that this online thing worked after all

In retrospect of all this… I believe that’s the sale that gave me the strength to keep on going and believe that making money online was real and not just a dream.

So yeah! I’m on the roof, I’m all excited I make my second sale 15 days later and the following happens…I make NADA for the next 3 months!

Even though I was still on the rush of those past two sales, I decided to give the clickbank network a go. It’s probably at that point, that everything went downhill.

I”ll explain in a bit.

Then not having much success at all promoting a Clickbank product through free techniques, I decided to give a shot at PPC (pay-per-click). Boom! All of sudden I start making sales… lots of them.

I’m already seeing myself on the beach, ready to give my boss my two week notice! But the worst happens…Google decides to ban the product. I go from making average $150 a day to $0.

It’s okay I tell myself, there’s bunch of other products to promote anyways…

So I go and pick other products to promote via PPC. Now I’m making sales but I’m also spending a lot! So in the meantime I look for other ways to make it happen.

3 months later I find a “new“ way of promoting Clickbank products, I give it a go, and find success immediately. It last for two months.

It’s been a year at that point that I was online promoting stuff, yet I was nothing close of being able to quit my day job.

Fast forward a year later…I’m in the same situation.

Now back then I couldn’t understand why I wasn’t driving sales on a daily basis consistently. I was putting at least 30 hours a week of work into it…and while I felt close of making it, I was very far!

By the end of the year (2009) I was what you could call a zombie! I was in front of the PC trying to put some work, but had no motivation, frustrated and no energy. It lasted for a good 60 days until I knew I had to quit…
For a while…of course

So February 2010, I took a long and much needed break away from anything Internet Marketing. I spent more time with the family and friends and spent more time doing what I love…

Something I had not done for the past two years!

Now I always knew I would get back into IM…I just didn’t know when, but I took all the time needed for myself to think about why I failed and how I could avoid going in the same pattern the day I would get back into IM.

Here I am now, after 5 months away from IM… writing this post, telling you a bit of my story.

One thing I can tell you, is that it FEELS GOOD to be back! I still despise my 9-to-5 with a passion :)

But better yet, I can tell you why I failed…in hope that you take these tips with you so you can avoid falling in the same trap I was in.

My mistake number 1

- I ran TOO MANY projects at a time and TOO MANY techniques at a time.

You won’t go anywhere… In reality, all you’re doing is diluting your efforts while you could focus it all in one place. As for techniques, there are so many ways of making money online, that it’s pointless to jump from one to another.

Stick to one method and stick to one project. Don’t change projects until you’ve turn it into a profit.

My mistake number 2

- I wanted it to make money yesterday

Every time I started a project, I was expecting results way too fast. Putting pressure on my projects and myself, resulted in me jumping from one thing to another.

Keep your end goal in mind, but focus on your daily goals. If you do your work, the money will follow

My mistake number 3

- Too many distractions

My inbox was getting bombarded with emails with offers, from too many gurus. Not only did it distract me from working on my business, it got me purchasing some products which again distracted me even more.

I cleaned it all and kept subscription to only few marketers that add value and I love to read. I do not need anymore

These 3 mistakes above are common mistake among marketers, try to avoid them at all cost, and if you’re still going nowhere online… take a few days away from IM,

Look at how you’ve been managing your online business, and you may find your answers there…. Sometimes a little break it just what you need ;)

Search Engine Optimization Tutorial – The Basic Stuff You Need To Know

You know you don’t have to make it complicated right?

When it comes to SEO, I hear lots of stuff about people trying to find the perfect way in SEO terms way to rank high in Google. While Big G has obviously a special way to rank websites, you’re better off just doing things in the most natural way!

Let’s take “Search Engine Optimization” for example.

If I want to rank high in the search engines (especially Google) for this keyword, there are obvious rules that must be applied, yet I still see pages online that goes against those simple rules….

Rule 1

Your Keyword Must Be In Your URL

If you’re building an ENTIRE SITE around that keyword, the most obvious thing to do, is to use “SearchEngineOptimization.com” as your URL,

but if it’s already taken, just add in a few words that make sense but still keep your keyword in the URL.

i.e. “www.TheSearchEngineOptimizationWebsite.com

The same rule applies, if you’re only looking at optimizing a page… your keyword must be in your URL.

i.e “www.TheWebsite.com/Search-Engine-Optimization

Rule 2

Use Your Keyword For Anchor Text Link

search engine optimization, is used to rank well within major search engine such as google, Bing and Yahoo”

See the link? It contains the keyword and it also links to another webpage. Using anchor text link in your article, webpage, will help your site achieve better rankings.

Rule 3

Use Your Keyword In Your Title

This one is also an obvious one, but somehow I see online folks ignoring this one as well.

Of course there is more to SEO than these basic rules, but these 3 rules are enough to make you dominate certain keywords.  I’ll admit though I’m not that big of a SEO guy, I do the basic stuff and I capitalize on the traffic I get, this way I don’t worry too much about SEO and be in constant fight about trying to stay on Google’s first page.
